Pastor Larry and Donna Otwell: J2911 Ministries Founders

"We are a Christ following couple that loves Jesus - Family & Friends. We enjoy worshipping The King of Kings, telling everyone what Jesus has done in our lives, hanging out with our kids, grandkids, and friends, traveling, camping and just enjoying life to the fullest. We are still growing in Christ and cherish every day we have with Jesus, family, and friends. We are blessed with 5 awesome kids, 10 beautiful grandkids, a loving family and a whole bunch of great friends. God has shown His great mercy upon us by loving us and leading us on this journey that started with Him in May of 2006. Since then we have been blessed to travel, speak, and be part of some great ministries and events."

  • Larry Otwell is the Lead Pastor and Founder of J2911 Ministries. Pastor Larry finds passion in sharing the Gospel and serving the community around him. Pastor Larry is also the Executive Director of the Shreveport Bossier Rescue Mission, where he pursues serving the homeless, and helping those in need to find hope and purpose.


  • Donna Otwell is a Founder of J2911 Ministries. Donna’s passion is to share the Gospel to those in her community. Donna is also the Director over the Women’s and Children’s Program at the Shreveport Bossier Rescue Mission. There she walks along women and mothers who have lost their identities and helps them pursue God and Hope.

More About Pastor Larry and Donna Otwell:

Pastor Larry and Donna Otwell gave their lives to Jesus in May of 2006 which followed with a dramatic life change. Since then Pastor Larry and Donna Otwell have devoted their lives to serving people who are hopeless and seen by the world as less than. Pastor Larry and Donna Otwell started working in ministry as “Street Pastors” where they shared the Gospel to people around Downtown Shreveport. Later on in May of 2015 Larry Otwell would take the Executive Director position for the Shreveport Bossier Rescue Mission and 2 months later in July of 2015 Donna Otwell would take her Director of Women’s and Children’s Program position for the Shreveport Bossier Rescue Mission.
